Joe Thornton

Mailed on 11/5/10 and received 1/2 back on 8/30/11. A HOCKEY SUCCESS! Its certainly been a while, with the offseason upon us its hard to write to hockey guys which is why I have switched gears to baseball for now. But every once in a while a straggler like this one will find its way back. Joe has always been a good signer, he takes his time and usually signs in the offseason but you usually get your stuff back. Sometimes you can get him to sign 2 cards but this time I just got one but it was the card I really wanted signed so its all good. These Champs cards look awesome very happy with this one. Cards were mailed to the Sharks.

Gordon Beckham

Mailed on 7/23/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/29/11. Two White Sox in one day is pretty cool, team must have mailed out a bunch of stuff for the players that day. Gordon is an interesting young player, he had a great rookie season and had everyone here in Chicago excited for his career ahead. He hasn't been able to totally recapture that magic but he has a lot of time ahead of him. Always been a good signer glad to finally add him to the collection. Card was mailed to the White Sox

Jeremy Giambi

Mailed on 8/13/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/29/11. I always love a 5/5 request. Mr. Giambi had a nice career for a few different teams but is maybe remembered most for getting tagged out at home in the A's/Yankees playoff game thanks to a great play by Derek Jeter. Great blue signatures on all five, very happy overall. Cards were mailed to his home.

A.J. Pierzynski

Mailed on 7/21/11 and received 1/2 back on 8/29/11. AJ has been a boss behind the plate for a long time and its a shame to see him on the DL for the first time in his career. But with some extra time on his hands it seems he is picking up the pen and signing. My only gripe about this one is that he signed it as if the card was a landscape card and not the vertical it is. Regardless though, nice to add AJ to the collection. Cards were mailed to the White Sox

Koji Uehara

Mailed on 7/26/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/27/11. Mr. Uehara has been a great signer since coming over from Japan and he really proved that with this success. I mailed this one out when he was with the Orioles then shortly after I sent it out he was traded to the Texas Rangers (a danger of writing to baseball guys during the trading deadline). He took his mail with him though and I was very glad to get this one back. Cards were mailed to the O's.

Bill Mueller

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/26/11. Mr. Mueller was a great hitter for a long time in the bigs for a few different teams but most memorably (for me at least) with the Cubs and Red Sox. I rubbed these cards down with an eraser but he must have signed the cards quickly and thrown them one behind the other because they still got smudged. They don't look awful but don't look that great either. The only one that didn't get smudged is my Bazooka comic strip showing Mr. Muellers game where he hit a grand slam from both sides of the plate. Cards were mailed to his home.

Carl Pavano

Mailed on 7/18/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/26/11. Mr. Pavano has been a reliable "one-per"signer recently. I figured I would get one off to him while he is hot with the sharpie. Interesting signature, loops his C in Carl into the P in Pavano. Looks more like some sort of weird symbol but it works. Mr. Pavano has had an interesting career, he had some great years with the Marlins then signed a big contract with the Yankees but he never stayed health in his Yankee years. He has now turned into a horse for the Twins, logging 200+ innings a year. Card was mailed to the Twins.

Clint Robinson

Mailed on 8/9/11 and received 3/3 back on 8/24/11. I've gotten Mr. Robinson a few times before, he has always been a reliable signer for me. These are signed in silver which looks better in person then they do in these pictures. It's tough to get these Chrome Bowman cards to look good in the pictures. Clint is having a monster season in AAA for the Omaha Storm Chasers and I'm sure we will see him this September with the Royals once the rosters expand. Cards were mailed to the Omaha Storm Chasers.

Eric Milton

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/22/11. Another fast return from a former long time big leaguer. Mr. Milton has a very reliable lefty for the Twins and he even threw a no hitter in his career. A no-hitter is in my opinion one of the coolest things you can do in sports. An entire game of domination by one player is as good as it gets. He nicely signed all 5 cards I sent in thin blue sharpie. Cards were mailed to his home.

Kris Medlen

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/22/11. Kris is a great young pitcher for the Braves working his way back from injury. He is a great signer and is also very fan friendly on Twitter. Nice blue signature on this card, looks great! Card was mailed to the Braves

Carlos Santana

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/20/11. Awesome success from one of the best young players in the game. This kid is gunna be a stud in the middle of the Cleveland lineup for a long time. Get him while he is signing! This card did get a little smudged but still looks awesome. I have to say, the Cleveland Indians seem to be the best signing team in the league. I've gotten a bunch of their guys and I have more requests out to guys I've seen a lot of success with. Glad they take the time for their fans.

I just got back from a week of vacation so it was fun to open up the 12 envelopes that I had waiting for me from the week. I don't have specific dates of these so I just labeled them all successes today. All baseball and I got some great stuff. Enjoy!

Matt Harrison

Mailed on 7/28/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/20/11. Matt is a young arm for the Texas Rangers and has really established himself this season. He has some great stuff and will develop into a great starter in this league for a long time. This card got a little smudged but still looks great. Card was mailed to the Rangers.

Mike Leake

Mailed on 7/12/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/20/11. Mike has been a reliable arm for the Reds since coming into the league last season. He didn't play in the minors which makes his big league success even better. He has been a great signer this season and I'm glad I could get him. Card was mailed to the Reds.

Nyjer Morgan

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/20/11. Nyjer has been a great addition for the Brewers this season. He has provided a lot of energy and clutch hitting for the young and talented Brewers. He has had a troubled past but has put all that aside and played great baseball all year. I previously mailed to Mr. Morgan when he was with the Nationals but I never got it back. Glad to finally get him. Card was mailed to the Brewers.

Justin Masterson

Mailed on 7/18/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Masterson is having a breakout season with the Indians and will be anchoring that rotation for a long time. He has been a great signer over the years but this is the first time I managed to get him. I only mailed to him one other time and it never came back. It was when he got traded to Cleveland from Boston and I guess mine got lost in translation. He has a great signature, glad to add him to my collection. Card was mailed to the Indians.

Brad Ausmus

Mailed on 7/12/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/20/11. One of my all-time favorites, Mr. Ausmus was amazing behind the dish with the Astros pitching staff when they were really good. It didn't matter if he never got a hit, he was so valuable with his defense and baseball smarts at the most important position in baseball (I'm a pitcher but I know how important a good catcher is!) He has always been a great signer in person and TTM. He is now working with the Padres and I hope he will soon have a managing position in the MLB. Cards were mailed to the Padres.

Juan Pierre

Mailed on 6/29/11 and received 2/3 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Pierre has been a speedster and great leadoff man for so long in the MLB. He is still getting it done with the White Sox and he has been a reliable signer his whole career. He nicely signed these two cards and added a Bible verse to both cards which was pretty sweet. Its a great Psalm that he added, I encourage you to go look it up! Cards were mailed to the White Sox.

Mike Williams

Mailed on 7/29/11 and received 1/3 back on 8/20/11. He kept two of my cards and returned this one nicely signed. It is a little tough to see on the card but it looks sweet in person. I love these Fleer Tradition cards, he kept the base card from this set but this is one of the insert from the set and they look great signed. Mr. Williams had some great seasons as the Pirates closer and I'm glad he signed one for me. Cards were mailed to his home.

Wilson Valdez

Mailed on 6/22/11 and received 3/3 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Valdez has been a nice player for the Phillies this season, filling in where ever he has needed to for the Phillies. He won a game on the mound this season as well! Definitely not something you see everyday from an infielder. The coolest thing was he set down the middle of the Reds roster in order. Interesting signature from Mr. Valdez and I'm glad he signed all three of my cards. Cards were mailed to the Phillies.

Roberto Hernandez

Mailed on 8/6/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Hernandez had a very underrated career, he had some great seasons as a closer with Kansas City and was great out of the pen for a few other teams as well. He signed both of my cards in bold blue and he has a cool signature. Cards were mailed to his home.

David Bell

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Bell was a professional hitter his entire career and is now currently managing the Carolina Mudcats. I saw lots quick success with him so I also decided to send off to him. I was surprised I didn't have more cards of him but I am very happy with these two cards. Cards were mailed to his team.

Dan Plesac

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/20/11. Mr. Plesac had a nice career as a big leaguer and is now working on the MLB Network. He nicely signed all five of my cards in a thin blue sharpie. Neat signature, very happy with these. Cards were mailed to the MLB Network.

Daniel Hudson

Mailed on 7/12/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/12/11. Great success from one of the young studs in the Arizona rotation. The D'backs have turned in around this season and are currently leading the NL West. Daniel has been a huge part of that success, his numbers speak for themselves and he is going to be a good one for a long time. Mr. Hudson was a big prospect here in Chicago before being dealt to Arizona and I'm glad he has turned into a star. This card was personalized by Mr. Hudson which is always cool with me. My last three successes have been personalized! I realize some guys do this so these cards don't go right up on ebay but I appreciate the extra effort these guys have put in for me. Card was mailed to the D'Backs.

Brian Duensing

Mailed on 7/26/11 and received 4/4 back on 8/12/11. Very nice return from a young arm from the Twins. I saw Brian pitch in single-A with the Beloit Snappers in 2006 and I'm glad to see he has found a spot in the Minnesota rotation. I was happy to see that Mr. Duensing had signed all four of my cards, I'd seen a few requests come back with only one card signed for many people. Pumped I got my minor league cards of him signed since I was able to get them signed in person because he got promoted before these cards came out. His signature has changed a bit since 2006 but I'm sure his autograph request amount has greatly increased since his minor league days. Very happy with these four cards. Cards were mailed to the Twins.

Gaby Sanchez

Mailed on 7/23/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/11/11. A couple very nice cards from a young hitter on the Marlins. Mr. Sanchez was nice enough to sign and personalize both of my cards which I always enjoy because I have no desire to sell any of the cards in my collection. It was nice that this Topps 2011 set that I bought had two different cards of Gaby in it. Both look very similar but one has his Topps all-rookie little trophy on it. Cards were mailed to the Florida Marlins

Donald Audette

Mailed on 7/28/10 and received 6/6 back on 8/8/11. I was surprised to see this one come back after a while. I mailed these cards to his home in the USA but my envelope came back with some canadian postage that he added himself. Very nice of him to spend his own money to get my cards back to me. And he signed all 6 of my cards, classy move from Mr. Audette. Always great to see guys go the next mile to take care of their fans. Cards were mailed to his home.

Jeff Suppan

Mailed on 6/20/11 and received 4/4 back on 8/8/11. Mr. Suppan is a long time big leaguer and is now working his way back in the minors. He is in AAA with the Omaha Storm Chasers, who are affiliated with the Kansas City Royals. Unfortunately Mr. Suppan smudged all four of these cards and a couple of them are pretty bad. It seems like he just quickly signed them and flipped to the next you which smudged them. Oh well, the Cardinals cards look decent. Cards were mailed to the Omaha Storm Chasers.

Saturday, August 6, 2011

Jamie Moyer

Mailed on 7/18/11 and received 4/4 back on 8/6/11. Mr. Moyer has long been one of the best signers TTM and he didn't let me down. I also got him in 2008 and both times the cards have turned out great. Mr. Moyer is rehabbing some injuries and working his way back to the bigs! I hope he pitches until he is 80! How cool is it that one of the cards he signed for me is from 1990 and another is from 2011. What a beast keep it up Mr. Moyer! Cards were mailed to the Phillies.

Heath Bell

Mailed on 7/12/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/5/11. Awesome success from one of the best closers in baseball. I'm glad to see that Mr. Bell didn't get traded away from San Diego, he has said he wants to stay there and I hope they are able to re-sign him this summer. He is a great guy, a man of faith and he is fun to follow on Twitter. This card got a little smudged when he put in back into the case I sent it with but still looks good. Unique touch with the red sharpie, I don't mind a changeup every once in a while. Cards were mailed to the Padres.

Jason Jennings

Mailed on 7/1/11 and received 3/4 back on 8/5/11. Mr. Jennings is currently playing with the Grand Prarie Airhogs which is an independent league team. Mr. Jennings had some great years and some not so great years. He was a big free agent signing by my Astros and didn't quite live up to the contact but he was still a nice player. Hopefully he is able to make a comeback to the big leagues soon. He didn't sign my card which showed him hitting which was a pretty cool card but glad with the three cards I did get. Cards were mailed to the Grand Prarie Airhogs.

Trot Nixon

Mailed on 7/23/11 and received 2/4 back on 8/5/11. Mr. Nixon had a great career in the MLB. He was a professional hitter in every sense and always seemed to get it done in the big spots. He kept two of the cards that I sent but thats ok because these two turned out great. Cards were mailed to his home.

Kyle Waldrop

Mailed on 7/26/11 and received 3/3 back on 8/5/11. Kyle is a former first round draft pick by the Twins and is currently in AAA. I first got to see him play a few years back when he was with the Beloit Snappers and I had these cards left over from those days and decided to send them off. I saw that he was signing and decided to get these to him. Nice neat signature on all three of the cards I sent, quick response, overall very happy. Cards were mailed to the Rochester Red Wings.

Jordan Zimmermann

Mailed on 7/23/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/4/11. Nice return from a promising young star for the Nationals. Coming off of Tommy John surgery, Mr. Zimmermann has been a bit up and down this season but hopefully he can gain back his consistency and he the great pitcher he is capable of. Great blue sharpie on this card makes this success look awesome. Card was mailed to the Nationals.

Toby Hall

Mailed on 6/20/11 and received 1/3 back on 8/4/11. I can honestly say this one of the first returns I've ever been disappointed with. I sent this card with two other very nice insert cards of Mr. Hall. I bought the two inserts off of ebay a while back when Mr. Hall was with the Astros planning on sending them to the team. He got injured and disappeared for a while. He is now playing with the Camden Riversharks so I was pumped to send to him. But much to my dismay he kept my two very nice cards and sent back the one card I just threw in with the other two. I wish he would have at least replaced my cards with two other ones. I hate to bitch about getting cards signed for free but this one was a little disappointing. I just hope those two cards go into his personal collection and he enjoys them. Cards were mailed to the Camden Riversharks.

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

Mike Timlin

Mailed on 7/18/11 and received 2/3 back on 8/2/11. A couple nice signatures from Mr. Timlin! He kept my older Topps card but thats ok with me. Nice signature out of Mr. Timlin. He was on the mound in some huge moments for Red Sox teams a couple years ago. Very nice to add him to my collection. Cards were mailed to his home.

Dan Wheeler

Mailed on 6/30/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/1/11. I'm a Houston Astros fan so its always fun for me to get guys like Mr. Wheeler who had a great tenure with the 'stros. Dan was awesome out of the pen for the astros for a few years and he was on the world series team. He is currently with the Red Sox still getting outs. I sent this request out not knowing if he signs through the mail. I have a card that is a dual card with Chad Qualls and Dan Wheeler on it that is already signed by Qualls so I'll have to send that one out soon. Cards were mailed to the Red Sox.
