No Longer Updating

I just wanted to say I will no longer be posting my TTM successes. It was a huge time obligation and I just do not have the time anymore. I appreciate all the nice comments I got over the years, I hope I was able to help a few of you. All the best and I hope you all have full mailboxes!

Joe Thornton

Mailed on 11/5/10 and received 1/2 back on 8/30/11. A HOCKEY SUCCESS! Its certainly been a while, with the offseason upon us its hard to write to hockey guys which is why I have switched gears to baseball for now. But every once in a while a straggler like this one will find its way back. Joe has always been a good signer, he takes his time and usually signs in the offseason but you usually get your stuff back. Sometimes you can get him to sign 2 cards but this time I just got one but it was the card I really wanted signed so its all good. These Champs cards look awesome very happy with this one. Cards were mailed to the Sharks.

Gordon Beckham

Mailed on 7/23/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/29/11. Two White Sox in one day is pretty cool, team must have mailed out a bunch of stuff for the players that day. Gordon is an interesting young player, he had a great rookie season and had everyone here in Chicago excited for his career ahead. He hasn't been able to totally recapture that magic but he has a lot of time ahead of him. Always been a good signer glad to finally add him to the collection. Card was mailed to the White Sox

Jeremy Giambi

Mailed on 8/13/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/29/11. I always love a 5/5 request. Mr. Giambi had a nice career for a few different teams but is maybe remembered most for getting tagged out at home in the A's/Yankees playoff game thanks to a great play by Derek Jeter. Great blue signatures on all five, very happy overall. Cards were mailed to his home.

A.J. Pierzynski

Mailed on 7/21/11 and received 1/2 back on 8/29/11. AJ has been a boss behind the plate for a long time and its a shame to see him on the DL for the first time in his career. But with some extra time on his hands it seems he is picking up the pen and signing. My only gripe about this one is that he signed it as if the card was a landscape card and not the vertical it is. Regardless though, nice to add AJ to the collection. Cards were mailed to the White Sox

Koji Uehara

Mailed on 7/26/11 and received 2/2 back on 8/27/11. Mr. Uehara has been a great signer since coming over from Japan and he really proved that with this success. I mailed this one out when he was with the Orioles then shortly after I sent it out he was traded to the Texas Rangers (a danger of writing to baseball guys during the trading deadline). He took his mail with him though and I was very glad to get this one back. Cards were mailed to the O's.

Bill Mueller

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/26/11. Mr. Mueller was a great hitter for a long time in the bigs for a few different teams but most memorably (for me at least) with the Cubs and Red Sox. I rubbed these cards down with an eraser but he must have signed the cards quickly and thrown them one behind the other because they still got smudged. They don't look awful but don't look that great either. The only one that didn't get smudged is my Bazooka comic strip showing Mr. Muellers game where he hit a grand slam from both sides of the plate. Cards were mailed to his home.

Carl Pavano

Mailed on 7/18/11 and received 1/1 back on 8/26/11. Mr. Pavano has been a reliable "one-per"signer recently. I figured I would get one off to him while he is hot with the sharpie. Interesting signature, loops his C in Carl into the P in Pavano. Looks more like some sort of weird symbol but it works. Mr. Pavano has had an interesting career, he had some great years with the Marlins then signed a big contract with the Yankees but he never stayed health in his Yankee years. He has now turned into a horse for the Twins, logging 200+ innings a year. Card was mailed to the Twins.

Clint Robinson

Mailed on 8/9/11 and received 3/3 back on 8/24/11. I've gotten Mr. Robinson a few times before, he has always been a reliable signer for me. These are signed in silver which looks better in person then they do in these pictures. It's tough to get these Chrome Bowman cards to look good in the pictures. Clint is having a monster season in AAA for the Omaha Storm Chasers and I'm sure we will see him this September with the Royals once the rosters expand. Cards were mailed to the Omaha Storm Chasers.

Eric Milton

Mailed on 8/5/11 and received 5/5 back on 8/22/11. Another fast return from a former long time big leaguer. Mr. Milton has a very reliable lefty for the Twins and he even threw a no hitter in his career. A no-hitter is in my opinion one of the coolest things you can do in sports. An entire game of domination by one player is as good as it gets. He nicely signed all 5 cards I sent in thin blue sharpie. Cards were mailed to his home.
